The showed coin was checked twice with digital caliber and the diameter is 37,62 mm - Weight is in the norm: 24,77 g.
Are reported coins with this very wide diameter for this issue?
-
What do you mean by large diameter? 0,62 mm larger?
-
Yes oversized in diameter I mind.
I have another 5F coin (BFM-127 Leopold II 1869 date) that is 37,53 mm wide. All others are in the range 37,05-37,36 mm that I think is the standard mid diameter wide.

I haven't measured any in the past, but I have noticed that the diameter can vary. 0.6 is still within reason for the time, I think. You have to keep into account that the edge dies were divided in three parts, and less rigid than plain/reeded edge dies. I think this would allow for the discrepancy.
Kind regards,

Thank you for the explanation. Luckily the 38 mm capsules I got for those coins can host this one too!
